Another set - I think that these may have sea-grass seats.
Note that the back posts are bent. This was always a tense operation, as the posts are steamed and bent AFTER cutting the mortices for the back slats, as well as a variety of drilled holes for the rungs. The result was that some backs would occasionally break - a great frustration.
(I never did work out a way of steaming first and drilling and morticing afterwards.)
